The Innovative Indian Awards is a premier initiative to recognize & celebrate innovations by individuals or organizations from all across India, enabling transformation and enrichment in our lives through their Innovations. Nominations would be voted by over 86,400 entrepreneurs comprising the membership of India SME forum, India’s Premier Organisation for Micro, Small & Medium Enterprises & end users of these innovations, from all over India.

India SME Forum has been at the forefront of recognising and promoting innovations through a Special mention Award in the past three editions, of its hugely popular India SME 100 Award, where 100 MSMEs are chosen every year. While the COVID19 pandemic has affected a majority of Indian entrepreneurs and their livelihood, a select few Knights fought the pandemic as an opportunity to create and innovate helping citizens, society and business in general. This prompted the foundation of a full fledged Innovation Recognition Platform to showcase and recognise front runners and innovators.

India is overdue at realizing its innovation potential due to a fragmented and challenging innovation ecosystem and there are many who have exhibited outstanding creativity, innovativeness, resilience, passion and integrity in driving transformation, fuelling growth and leading sustainable change in the society.

The four core values or the inner wheels of the Innovative Indian Awards Chariot are – CREATIVITY, INNOVATION, PASSION for GROWTH and TRANSFORMATION for SUSTAINABLE CHANGE.

Eligibility

All Innovations in the time period between July 2019 to March 2021 can be nominated by
  • Micro, Small and Medium Entrepreneurs & Enterprises
Any enterprise nominating for the awards should fall under the current MSME Classification i.e. the company should have a domestic annual turnover upto INR 250 Crores. The innovators will have to submit proof of the innovation and its commercial / social application. Registered Patents, Copyrights, Certificates of Recognition for the Innovation from the Council of Scientific and Industrial Research (CSIR), Indian Council of Agricultural Research (ICAR), Indian Council of Medical Research (ICMR), Defence Research & Development Organisation (DRDO), Scientific and Industrial Research Organizations (SIROs), Indian Institutes of Technology (IITs), the Indian Institute of Science (IISc), research & development institutions & organisations including the Biotech Industry Consortium, financial institutions and banks including the Small Industries Development Bank of India (SIDBI), recognised Incubators and Accelerators, NGOs in Innovation and Entrepreneurship, and/or any authorized R&D centres.

Award Categories

  • There are 25 award categories for nominating innovations.
  • One Innovation can be nominated for a maximum of 3 award categories and will be filled and submitted online.

Process

  • All nominations will go through an evaluation process by SDRC International to validate eligibility
  • Post evaluation the number of nominees validated will be sent to the Selection Committee
  • The Selection committee will shortlist the best nominations in each category
  • The 5 best in each category will be showcased on the Innovative Indian Awards virtual platform and will be promoted to over 1crore entrepreneurs

Evaluation


  • All nominations will be diligently reviewed by SDRC International to determine validity & to ensure they meet the eligibility criteria.
  • All completed nominations will be reviewed by the panel of professionals, all of whom are senior executives with diverse marketing, scientific and business backgrounds who are recognized experts in their fields.
  • Upon conclusion of this primary review/ screening process, a ballot of finalists i.e our selected 50 nominated innovators are showcased.
  • These 50 selected finalists will there after be adjudged by the jury and the winner and runner up will be announced.
  • No correspondence/ communication will be entertained on the decision of the selection committee or the process.

Recognition

  • The Toppers with the maximum numbers of votes in each category will receive the Winner Trophy while the runner up will receive the Runner Up Trophy in that category.
  • Two Top winners with the Best Social and Commercial Innovations will be awarded the cash prize of INR 1 LAKH each , apart from a Best Social Innovation and Best Commercial Innovation Award.
  • All finalists will be invited as a special guests to the 3rd International SME Convention 2021

Showcase

  • All validated Nominees will get the opportunity for showcasing their innovations to the live audience comprising of Entrepreneurs, Traders, Buyers, End Users on the virtual platform provided by xpostation
  • The platform has features like enquiry chat, visiting card exchange, scheduling meetings, playing videos, display and download of brochures etc.
  • The Innovative Indian Award virtual platform will be promoted to a select 1 crore entrepreneurs from India, policy makers and bureaucrats from all over India. And a select group of Investors and vendor capitalists

Nomination Fees

Rs. 8475 + 18% GST per category is the Nomination fees processing & due diligence of the application, which is being done by a 3rd party agency.
